Every piece of cut fabric inside each figure represents a moment, a familiar time, an experience, or a memory.  Every woman before me has had an effect on who I am.  Every moment, every decision, every experience that molded them has had a hand in sculpting me as a woman and as an individual.  When I lay with these figures those women all become one with me and I become one with them.
